WHAT IS FORTRIX™ for Dogs and Cats?
Antioxidants work best in mixtures made up of
smaller amounts of a variety of groups, rather than a high
concentration of single antioxidant. Ester-C as antioxidant

Antioxidants support the immune system by
increasing the number of antibodies

and parasites. Each antioxidant has its own unique
function, but they all contribute in increasing the
immune function, creating the best defense against
infections and diseases.

against Free Radical Damage
Free radical damage is caused when unstable
molecules react with DNA, lipids and proteins. Free
radicals are produced as byproducts of metabolic
processes. They also come from environmental
pollutants (automobile exhaust, cigarette smoke
etc.). Free radicals can damage the structure and
function of cells and cell membranes, which may
result in inactivation of enzymes and other
proteins, and the destruction of tissues and organs.
Free radicals are the cause of most life-threatening
diseases. The best protection against free radical

Several theories have been proposed to
explain changes in cell functioning and
physiological capability. The strongest and
best established scientific theory is that free
radicals account for many age-related changes.

FORTRIX Contains the Following Antioxidant
Groups:
Ester
C and the other two important anti-oxidant
vitamins, vitamin A (and Beta Carotene) and vitamin
E. These vitamins support the immune system, treat

Grape
Seed Extract. This bioflavonoid-rich product
contains many polyphenolic compounds which work as
potent anti-oxidants and support the auto immune

Super
Oxide Dismutase (S.O.D.) is a natural anti-oxidant
enzyme produced by the body and contained in many
herbal anti-oxidants. It is often used as a benchmark

phytochemicals, and is often considered one of the
most important natural anti-oxidant enzymes to combat
free radical damage;
Coenzyme
Q-10 is a key factor in cellular energy creation,

Anti-oxidant
Amino Acids (Glutathione, Glutamic acid, Cysteine,

glutathione, which has been called the "master
anti-oxidant". It regulates the actions of lesser
anti-oxidants such as vitamin C and vitamin E within
the body. The other three amino-acids are essential

glutathione peroxidase. These amino acids function as
a powerful aid to the body in protecting against free
radical attack caused by natural biochemical processes
and pollution. They help slow down the aging process,

Selenium
is a structural component of, and a co-factor for the
antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase. It is one
of the most important anti-oxidants known to help

Other
